Non-Profits: Facebook Should Create Facebook Charities to Do Social Good

0

facebookWhy is it that Google offers Google Grants for Non-profits and even Twitter offers Ads for Good and Facebook offers nothing?

It seems to me that Facebook could really have a massive impact on charities and people actually doing good. It wouldn’t just have to be through Facebook ads. It could also be through people’s timeline and News lists.

Imagine if a charity showed up in your news feed promoting some action or campaign. If a user decided to Like the charity or get involved it would show up in their timeline as them doing good.. or “What I did Good today”. I think Facebook could create something called “Social Good”.

Facebook could also offer Facebook Credits for your getting involved and doing a certain action.

Finally, Facebook could offer a grant every month to non-profits for sponsored stories. The more viral these get the more often they show.
